Today I wanted to post some other chemo hats I've made. I have found so
many wonderful patterns out there and love crocheting as many different
ones as I can. My goal is to do at least 15 a month which wouldn't be
too much of a problem except that I can spend hours just looking at new
patterns. I try to make a variety of styles and sizes to fit the
different styles and sizes of those with cancer. Both of these hats are from the same pattern just different colors (duh, obviously) and different flowers. I do try to change them up a bit. I had also made the scarf at a different time and just sent them over together since I thought they looked good together. These two hats are very simple to make and are done in double crochet mostly. I found the free pattern from
Addicted to Alpaca's blog. She came up with the pattern to make a hat for Halos of Hope and was so nice to share her pattern with everyone. I used Caron's Spa soft bamboo blend yarn and it made such a nice soft, comfortable hat and scarf. I love the feel of it!
The flower for this hat came from Brittany at
Crafty Woman Creations. I found her free pattern here on
Ravelry.Thank you Brittany. The beautiful scarf was designed by Carrie Carpenter. You can find her pattern
here.
The rose on the blue hat was designed by Heidi at
heidibearscreative.blogspot.com. She used a divine sock yarn and size 2mm crochet hook. I used the same Caron bamboo yarn as the trim on the hat and a size G hook and think it still turned out good.
I will try to get more hat patterns posted in the next few days. Enjoy! God bless!
